Default thump sound after installing TEIN FLEX on 99 GS300 ???

Hey experts need some help here. I recently installed my TEIN FLex on my 99 gs300. Everytime i hit a small bump it makes a thump sound like something is hitting but not ness bottom out. Im riding on stock 17's and there is no gap between my tire and the fender. Its pretty low. Do you really think that sound is from bottoming out or is it the upper control arm hitting the frame. From looking at it it looks like the upper control arm is like 1.5 inches from hitting the top. PLz let me know.

yah...looks a bit too low for everyday driving....lol.

Try raising it up a bit and see it the thump goes away. Also check the sway bar end link if its secure...it may be hittin the coils.

Good luck.

Being that low it could be your side skirts hitting the ground!

Hehe, yeah, thats as low as mine are set right now. I had to take off my 20's to get them redone, and the 16's are another inch lower diameter. I would say its probably grounding out.

Bro, you need it raise it up. You are way too low for everyday driving. You're asking for problems later on with your suspension and alignment...

keep in mind, with 20s the overall diameter is quite a bit larger than what you have now. i can guarantee you for sure you are going to rub very bad at the top of the wheel well in the front. very bad idea, you will get a hole very soon

and about the thumb sound, it's a common problem on the flex

So the thumping is that a problem witht the coilover it self or is it a mounting issue?

DUDE !!!!! I have encountered a new problem... Just placed them 20's on .. Staggered 20x9 and 20x10... #%$# man they rub like crazy on the fender and quater panel. Theres about a 2 finger gap right now and everytime i hit a small bump it shaves a peice of the tire off. On top of that the bump sound is still there. So now i know the bump sound is totally not from bottoming out.

Is anyone having this problem with there staggered set up. Cux i might got back to 19's not if thats the case. SOS SOS SOS SOS SOS SOS !!!!!!!!
