Default Lowering springs and shocks 98 GS400 recommendations

Hey everyone,
My drivers side front shock just started to leak on my 98 GS400, so I suppose now is a good time to buy lowering shocks and springs. I would just like to hear from those out there who have installed different combinations, I want to drop the car 1-1.5" but maintain ride quality and improve cornering ability. I drive my car a TON (160k miles) so I can't have anything too stiff as I use it to entertain clients and such. It's pretty much stock right now except for 18" Chrome JDM Aristo wheels and 245/40/ZR18 Nitto NT555's all around. I would love nothing more than to put an adjustable coilover setup on like the Tein Flex, but I don't know how much longer I will keep the vehicle and will probably sell it with whatever suspension upgrades I end up doing, so cost is an issue. I was looking at either the L-sportline or L-tuned setup, unless someone else has any other recommendations? I'll also be in the market to buy this stuff, so if anyone has some slightly used lowering springs and shocks I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks to everyone for replies!

I currently have L-tune springs and Bilstein sports shocks which is a great combination. The ride is about 40% better than stock and no float. I would not get L-tune shocks since they don't last long. Bilstein have a life time warrantee but I guess this is not important to you since you'll be selling your car soon.

good luck.

Might want to try Tanabe NF (Normal Feel) springs. they lower more than L-tuned and they ride 10% stiffer then stock.

if your going to go with coilover you need to get the tein cs the ride quality is much better than the flex

Tein Flex Suspension would be the best all-around spring-shock combo for performance and comfort, IMO.
