TRD Sportivo springs and struts
I've tried doing a search on the TRD suspension set up but didnt come up with anything. What are your opinions on the TRD sportivo springs and shocks, and struts?

It depends...
These are good shocks and springs, a bit stiffer than the original ones, but not as stiff as let's say the Tein HA.
But the TRD are also very expensive ... probably only a little bit cheaper than coilovers .

the price is $400-500 US for a used set. The seller is in washington so I can stop by and take a look before I buy it. The drop is only about 1" - 1.5". I figured that the price is pretty good for the complete setup. If only I could afford Tiens at this momment.

I know it is hard to wait sometimes, though.

The Tien CS wont be for a while though, unless I happen to come across a fairly good deal. Right now I am sitting on H&R Sport springs.
It's either this or upgrading my brakes to the brembo or bradi cross drilled/slotted rotors and S/S brake lines. My brakes are starting to squeek too. I'm telling ya, CL is the devil. It tells you to do or buy things without you even noticing.

The TRD blue shocks work well with the H&R springs, I have the HKS coilovers now and it is only slightly better than that setup. I use to have the TRD blues shocks with the H&R springs and if it were not for a good deal for the coilovers, would have been happy with that setup. Not worth the extra money for the upgrade to coilovers from my point of view. I think that the shocks are much firmer than the L-tuned and about 30% stiffer than stock. Gave the setup to my friend who had the L-tuned shocks and springs and the car was noticeably better/stiffer. If you like the way the car rides now, just change out the TRD shocks with the H&R springs. That would be my suggestion, but hey everyone has their own preferences.

if you already dropped your car, I would not spend the money for used shocks. It is difficult to examine the condition of used shocks by only looking at those. I also expect that the difference between between stock shocks and H&R and TRD shocks/springs, will be small.
Either save your money for coilovers, or if you are happy with the ride, then spend your money on some other mod.

I guess the $$ will be going to my new brake setup. The groupbuy on the AP racing brake kit looks very tempting, if only I had a money tree in my background.
There are too many mods to get and the list keeps on growing and growing.
