Can I just change my springs to drop an inch?
I'm looking to get some 18's and I don't want to loose any manuverability through the city by being too low. Do I need to drop the car at all, or is one inch enough? What springs can I use that will not be too stiff. I know that the 18's will give a firmer ride, and i don't want to make my suspension any stiffer. Any recomendations on springs? I've read alot about springs and shocks, and I'm obviously stilla little confused. I want to improve the look, but not sacrifice the lexus comfort. I'm satisfied with the handling of the car.
Thanks for any feedback-

fwiw, I put on the eibach's recently and it drops the car about 1 inch. I still run the stock 17" chrome wheels but I'm happy with the ride quality. Driving around town it's very much like stock to me, but, if you hit a sharp bump with too much speed, or something like a shallow pothole then the 'hit' is noticeably more abrupt than stock. Those kinds of things are only 5% of driving, if that, so it's no big deal really.
In one or two of the threads here in the past month or two, I wrote a lengthy driving impression. You might want to do a search for it.

My H&R springs give like 1.25" drop all around. I had to reuse my H&R springs on the front because of my hks coilover install mishap and I can tell you that the drop is still nice with 19s and there's only 1-2 finger gap up front with stock shocks. I miss my coilovers though.
You could go for the apexi ws coilovers or the hks LS+ and crank it at its softest setting and the ride will be VERY similar if not softer than stock. I wouldn't recommend that though, coz you kinda lose all the nice handling characteristics associated with coilovers.

So what about a fat tire setup on 18's, and then drop it an inch with the eibachs?
A lip and skirts, and I'de look a little lower, but still able to attack the city obstacle course, potholes and all...
I'm leaning towards a setup like this. Any feedback would be great. Are they any other springs that would give me the inch of drop but maintain more of the current ride?
