Pic of GS with L Tuned Package
Hello Members
I'm Interested in getting L-tuned springs/shocks for my new GS400... Can someone be so kind and post a pick of a GS on 19 or 20's with the l-tuned suspension package installed.
Thanks, AD

This is a pic of my car with 19s when I had the L-Tuned on. I've since switched to coilovers to improve the handling a bit more plus lower it a bit more, plus have the electronic damper adjustment.

Here's one (with L-Tuned) that shows wheel gap better.

One more pic with the coilovers so you can compare.

The coilovers are adjustable, so it's up to me.
But the L-Tuned is about an inch all around, and my coilovers are probably about a 2" drop right now.
Also, I have a 'fat 19' tire setup (one aspect ratio size taller) which fills the wheel well better than stock diameters.

Do you need to get the shocks too?
Thats a sweet ride. I like those rims.
Can you just get the springs, and keep the lexus shocks if you only wanted to drop it, and not change the feel of the suspension?

This is my car with the L-Tuned setup, shocks/springs. I love the way the it rides and looks good enough for me. It is my daily driver so I can't go too agressive although at some point I will switch to Tein Cs with EDFC. Hope this helps.

Yes, but I've heard your shocks will wear out faster.

I don't know about you but if I was on a budget or wanted to retain that stock feel, I can live with 30k. You will only lose out on the installation cost since you will incur this cost when installing the springs and then again when the shocks wear out. Depending on how far each person drives, 5-10k could be a year but more than likely months. In this case, I'd just go ahead and change them out. At about 30k, you have at least a year and a half where you may decide to go to coilovers. This is a tougher call for me.
Anyway, I just wanted to bring up an unanswered question I've had for a long time. There is no proof behind the numbers I gave above. Just (again) more hearsay until someone can give a more definitive estimate.

What Neo said is very true but I have personally scene instances where the Shocks blew after being coupled w/ lowering springs after 4000 miles. I guess there are alot of factors but point is, stock shocks are meant for stock springs. When you change the spring settings you make the shocks exceed its intended parameters.
I personally believe in just doing it right the first time. Either go coils or shock/spring combo and just save your stock shocks and springs in your garage for that rainy day or when you sell your car. That way I believe you get the most for your money. It's all up to you though, everybody has different tastes..... just take a ride and decide if the way you drive, can you really justify for certain coils etc etc.....
I had a spring/shock combo on my last car and it fit me perfectly. I never adjust the dampening so I just tossed the ***** in my trunk and forgot them. I never track my car so it's always on a pretty comfortable setting for me. At the time I could not justify paying $500 upwards and more to go w/ coils b/c the spring shock combo fit exactly my intended usage.
I now have gone coils on the GS b/c after reading many reviews I just felt that the few hundred dollars is worth the added benifits of Coilovers. I got a great deal on coils so why the hell not?
PS My last spring/shock combo has gone 50,000+ miles on some cars I've heard.
