Is it ok to fit slightly lower brake lines?

Default Is it ok to fit slightly longer brake lines?

I got a set of brakelines that uses the same connectors as the original GS stainless steel brake lines, but are approx. 0.5" longer than the GS lines. Should this be ok to fit these on a GS?

The ones I just put on my car are exactly like that

and I was wondering the same thing too. I got my SS lines for the rear from Steve Ganz and they are the GoodRich ones that everyone else buys.

Me mechanic said I should check the lines to watch for any "chafing" or rubbing against a post (not sure what it is) that is very close to the lines.

As long as it is not overly long, it should be OK. On the fronts, just play with the angles, tighten the bolts, and then steer the wheels side to side to make sure there is good movement and no rubbing on other components.
