Default Adjusting Your Teins

Here is what Tein wrote to me on adjusting your Teins. Thought I would start a new thread so when people search, it would be more apparent to them.

Here is what they wrote:
Please let me explain to you about the damping force adjustment of our dampers. With SS dampers, you can adjust its damping forces at 16 different levels. To make it the hardest setting, turn the **** clockwise until it stops. Then, turn it the other way around to make it softer.

Full stiff

Using the included wrench (Hex wrench) to turn the adjustment **** on the top of the position rod (shock shaft) to the hardest setting which is full clock wise (turning right). When you are finished setting the **** full clock wise you are set at 0.

Full soft

After you are set at full stiff which is 0 turn the adjustment **** counter clock wise (turning left) 16 level backwards. Please DO NOT pass the 16th level it will damage the damper.

Caution

USE ONLY LEVELS 1-16. Exceeding level 16 may cause damage to the damper.

DO NOT turn know past the last position. Turning the **** past its limit will result in damage to the damper.

Best regards,
Sales

If you have the EDFC, you have 32 way adjustment.

You can change the mode of the EDFC from 16 to 32. The dampening range is the same, just smaller increments. The "clicks" in the **** on the coilover is really a guideline. With the EDFC, that nut is removed so there is no more clicks. The motor just knows to increment a certain amount. With the finer adjustment, the motor just turns at "1/2 intervals".
