ok i tried to use babelfish and from what i understand it doesn't fit at all. but seems like something is blocking and you might be able to just shave off "something" and get it to fit. man we need translator (read: my wife is asleep, damnit)

Lightbulb Supra Front Brake System

Thanks a lot JWgs430 and rominl for finding my DIYs.

First, I explain about front brake. This is "Supra Front Brake System" that I replaced.

These are Supra front calipers, TOM'S brake pads and C-ONE MOTORSPORT slited brake rotors.

The genuine caliper was black. I painted it gold with a heatproof spray, and I stuck TOM'S logo. It looks like "brembo Brake System", isn't it?
(I designed the TOM'S logo by Macintosh, and cut out by plotter printer.)
So TOM'S doesn't supply Brake System like this. (Don't ask TOM'S about it.)

It was easy to replace the caliper, only "bolt on" it.

Remove back-plate (or replace it for Supra's) and use stainless-mesh hose for Supra's.

The left side is genuine "poor" caliper, and the right side is Supra "Gold" caliper.

The weight of genuine caliper is 7.0kg, and Supra caliper is 6.6kg. (minus 0.4kg!)
(I measured them with a digital bathroom scale.)

The size of genuine brake rotor is 295mm, and Supra brake rotor is 323mm. iplus 28mmj

Default Supra Rear Brake System

Next, I explain about rear brake. This is "Supra Rear Brake System" that I replaced.

Remove back-plate and use stainless-mesh hose for Supra's.

The weight of genuine caliper is 3.0kg, and Supra caliper is 3.0kg. (same weight!)
The size of genuine brake rotor is 306mm, and Supra brake rotor is 324mm. iplus 18mmj

But it is not easy to replace the rear caliper, because the position of the bolts on suspension knuckle is different from the hole on the caliper. So you need to process the caliper.

Lightbulb Rear Caliper Bracket

So slice off the base of the caliper by metalworking machine, and attach the specified bracket.

Like this,
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...161-b-r-04.jpg
and this.
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_.../161-red03.jpg

The bracket is made from super-hard special metal. So it can endure the hardbraking.

"Supra Rear Caliper Kit for GS" is manufactured and supplied by Night Pager in Japan.

Look at this,
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...61breke-rr.htm
and this.
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...1brake0001.htm

It costs 128,000 yen (1196 dollars).
(Processed new rear caliper kit, not painted)

Thanks for the writeup SOARISTO!! Thats a nice idea for mounting the rear calipers. How secure is that mounting method? Are there only 2 bolts holding the new bracket in place?

What is the performance advantage of the Supra rear brake vs the stock GS rear brake?

Lightbulb CELSIOR (LS430) Aluminum Mono-block 1 Piece Front Caliper Kit

Night Pager supplies "CELSIOR (LS430) Aluminum Mono-block 1 Piece Front Caliper Kit" too.
(LS430 is called "CELSIOR" in Japan.)

Like this.
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...0-toyota01.jpg
http://night-pager.com/parts/brake_p...0/ucf30_06.jpg
http://night-pager.com/parts/brake_p...0/ucf30_05.jpg

The biggest advantage of CELSIOR caliper is quite more lightweight than Supra caliper.
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...0/DCP01623.jpg (Supra caliper)
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...0/DCP01620.jpg (CELSIOR caliper)
The former which made from steel has no less than 6.3kg, and the latter which made from aluminum is only 3.5kg.

And another advantage of CELSIOR caliper is that it is made from mono-block (monocoque) 1 piece. (Supra caliper is made from 2 pieces.)
So it is not distorted (separated) by hardbraking from highspeed.

This is the pad size of those calipers.
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_.../ucf-pad01.jpg
The left one is genuine GS's pad, the center one is CELSIOR's pad, and the right one is Supra's pad.
(How small GS's one!)

Look at this.
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...full_ucf30.htm (Written in Japanese.)

It can bolt on GS430/400/300,
http://night-pager.com/parts/toyota_...zs161-ff01.jpg
and SC430.

thanks soaristo. 1K for the rear calipers seem kinda steep for almost "stock rear calipers". anyone have any ideas on finding a DIY, or having a machinenist fabricate this bracket.
i defininelty like the gold colored calipers. i may have to borrow that idea

Yes, the bracket which was made from very high accuracy, was fixed to the caliper by 2 bolts, and was fixed to the suspension knuckle by 2 bolts.

"Night Pager" has developed it about two years and 6 months ago. I heard that they had tested it enough.

I am one of the first users who attached it, and I am already driving over 32,000km. There is no judder, squeaking, or wandering.

(Oh! I have noticed just now! As a matter of fact, I was testing!?)

Lightbulb Balance of Power

The biggest advantage is "Balance of Power".

If changing only Supra front brake, the braking power of rear wheels will surrenders to the braking power of front wheels. At highspeed cornering, rear wheels will lose balance and begin to slip sideways when the braking power of front wheels is too strong.

Yes, the stock caliper has 2 pistons too, but please check diameter of the rotor and surface area of the pad. Supra rear caliper generates very big stopping powers. Sense of security completely differs.

In addition, it is "Genuine Parts". There is no squeaking "Ki---Ki--" like a part of brembo, Lockheed, ap, and so on. GS is a High Performance "Formal" Sedan, not a sports car. Such a cheap sound is not suitable, I think so.

Cool Wheel and Caliper Collections

This is a mini off-meeting held last year.

BBS RS-GT 18' with Supra caliper painted darkblue.

BBS RG-R 18' with Supra caliper painted gold and slited rotor.

BBS RG-LM 19' with Supra caliper painted gold and slited rotor.

BBS RG-LM 19' with brembo black caliper, slited rotor and gold hub.

Close up!

This is the coolest caliper that I have ever seen. BBS RS-GT 19' with...

Brake System is TRD "Monocoque High Performance Brake Kit". (4 pot big aluminum monocoque caliper)

He polished the caliper until it shone glitteringly.

Among us, it is called "Terminator Caliper ".
