Default Lowering advice

Wondering what's you guys opinion about lowering the GS400 with springs only. I was thinking about the Eibach or H&R. How's the ride quality and how long before the OEM shocks gives in? TIA everone.

My aristo had the H&R springs on stock shocks before I replaced them with my current HKS LS+ coilovers. It rode like stock but usually lowering springs will kill your factory shocks within 6 mths.

Coincidentally, my H&R springs are up for sale. PM if interested.

I've got the Eibach's and I was concerned about giving up to much of the ride quality that these cars are known for. In short I highly recomend them. Great look and still have a great ride. I'm still runnin the stock shocks with no problemo's.

Guys, thanks for the advice.

Downtown, how long have you been running the Eibach on you stock shocks?

I agree.....although some members have been using their stock shocks with new Eibach/H&R/L-tuned springs....I would recommend swapping it out at the same time to avoid future cost to you.

Some members experienced "bottoming out"....a clear sign the stock shocks are dead.

Good luck.

I've had my springs on since spring of this year and have experienced no problems whatsoever. I've travelled with a full load and had no problems with bottoming out. If and when I do I'll invest in some shocks but as it stands I couldn't be happier. The look you'll get is just right with the Eibach Pro Kit and it's an excellent product.

Thanks guys,

If I go ahead with the shocks, would the ride improve over the springs only? What shocks and springs would you guys recommend?
