Spacer Q: Grinding 10mm spacers to 7.5 mm
Is it possible to grind 10mm spacers down to 7.5 mm spacers? If so, how much will this change my geometry. The reason i'm asking is because my Gio's are being shipped from Cali and another guy with these same wheels has Supra big brakes and thats what he did, and it worked. Any suggestions would be helpful.

If you can't find 7.5 mm spacers, wouldn't the 10mm work OK? The difference between the two is insignificant-about 1/10 inch or so I believe...
Just got my 25 mm H&R spacers for use with the stock 17s, can't wait to see the improvement!

you're gonna love the look of them. please post a review of whether or not they improve the handling. i put them on my 17's the same day as my JIC MAGIC coilovers and the handling improved to mind blowing proportions. of course i don't know how much difference just the spacers make and some people say they can't tell any difference with just the spacers. thanks ivan

25mm ... ouch
25 mm wow ... thats an inch wide. I didn't even like the idea of having to use 5/16 (8mm) to clear my supra tt brakes. They sell them at pep boys for 7 bucks a set. $150 for spacers ... wow ..... if your gonna send that much and want your wheels to be flush ..... get wider wheels with better offsets.

sorry i didn't get back to you on this sooner i kind of lost track of this thread.
i just put them on my wifes car last saturday. her gs400 has the stock springs and shocks with daizen sways and all the toms braces except the trunk bar.. the little bit that i've driven it since the spacers were put on i sense that it handles better. we live in seattle and it rains all the time in jan. so the streets don't dry out much. i asked her if she noticed any change in its cornering capabilities, she said she thinks so but i think i'll have to push it a little more than she does to find out for sure.

you can get them from options auto salon
they sell the H & R spacers from germany and they are the very best
if you get them you won't have any problems unlike what you might get elsewhere.
