Default stb

you're talking about the one in the engine compartment i assume. you can do it yourself with a socket set 3 bolts on each side & no you don't have to jack up car to do it. takes at most 10 min. and i am horrible with mech. things. i would guess a dealer would charge $60-$90. do it yourself it is so easy.

You may have to jack up one side or the other if it doesn't go right on. I've had to do this with mine.

And no, you won't void a warranty with an STB.

Like Bit said, you may have to depending on how your car is. There may be some flex in the car that you can fix by jacking up the car.

No luck so far.. Have tried the STB with the car on theground and the brace would not go right on..I also tried raising each end of the car and that didnt work either...
- Do I need to raise the whole front/or the whole car...
- the brace doesnt look like it can just go right on the towers..If one end fits the other is off..
Any suggestions...

Don't raise the whole front or back - just one side at the front on the factory jack point. It might then take some 'jiggling' and even a bit of force to get the STB on, but you can do it, trust me. If I can, anyone can.

The klutz.

Huh? You mean you haven't taken off the existing bolts on top of the struts? Yes, that could well help, by getting one side of the bar lower (because the bolts aren't there) you may be then able to get the other side slipping down the studs.

Default TRD tower bar installed

At first try last week, mine won't fit either. I called the guy who sold me and he told me that there's no need to jack up the car. Yesterday, there was about 1/4 of an inch miss match to fit both sides completely. What I did was to remove the washer on both sides and then my TRD tower bar sit up there perfectly. Finished in less than 15 minutes. I had the two washers in my garage now sitting on the shelve. Removing the washer is the only way I could have made the TRD tower bar fit perfectly. Any thoughts or effect(?) about me removing the washers? There was in fact noticable improvement. Body lean was gone.

My friend's Camry SE comes with Tower bar as standard, I hope this has nothing to do with voiding warranty.

Default Here are the pics

You guys were right. once I removed the bolts the STB slid right in place.
- Drove about 3 miles after the install and yes there is a very noticable difference. There is very little roll when moving the steering back and forth. The steering response is much better too.
Very much worth the monbey.

Congrats. I still have the plates under my STB. Maybe I'll take 'em off sometime, since they don't seem to add any value (but do add weight).
