Default I love the Daizen Bushings!!

I installed the Daizen Upper and lower control arm bushings for the front and the front and rear
swaybar bushings last week. My steering is 100% better now and the car feels like it is on rails.
I would recommend this mod to everyone, it is some of the best money you can spend on an old SC.

How much did you pay for the parts? I don't know if I'm gonna have time to do an install myself b/c my weekends are packed and I'm in school right now so... about how long did it take you? (trying to figure out labor costs)
thanks,
Dix

Can you let us know if your bushings start squeaking in 6months to a year? I have heard that this could be a possible problem with these bushings. Is it true that you must grease them on a regular basis?

Had mine installed in March, no squeaks yet. I've been told the lubbing is a PITA, but only neccessary every few years.

It's easy to install, just a bit time consuming. Its a bit tricky doing the rear upper's, which is difficult to get the nuts back on the bolts, but just a bit tricky.

I would prefer to not do the front uppers, because that is where the main road-noise, and chasis jaring come from. But, its true, I can totally slam a major corner at this point. 245/35/18's on the front, 295/30/18'ts on the rears, its so sweet! Now I just need the turbo to finish the project.

So what would you do if you could do it over? Since most of the road noise and chasis jarring comes from the front uppers, I would think that the old worn out bushings needed to be replaced. So would you do the more expensive Vlamos stock spec bushings for the front uppers and the Daizens for the rest?

If I was to do it over, I'd simply leave the uppers stock, as that rubber rarely gets worn out, such as the botttom's, which don't last long at all. Road noise, and such became much more noticeable after putting the harder after the daizen bushings are in there. Bumps are almost jaring, so I'll probably eventually get some new stock uppers to put back in there later.

yes the jarring is a pain...my cd player actually skips now...it kinda sucks when you go over a very bumpy area..but you get used to it after a while....next year i will probably just spring for some new control arms at 500.00 a piece...bushings included...oh and for those of you who havent driven the car in the snow with the bushings..ha your gonna feel like your sliding but you wont..

$500/ control arm??? Is that typical for replacement parts for Lexus? If so, I think I am going to sell mine and get a Civic!

Default a-arms

Save yourself some money and just put in lower front Supra a-arms. Just did mine on my 92SC300 and love them. Easy to install if you have an air hammer. Lexus dealership here in Houston wanted $560 per a-arm, !(outrageous) ordered the Supra a-arms from Elmhurst Toyota, IL. for $190 each. Huge savings!

is it ok to use those supra arms???
also, i did front upper and lower-love the bushings, but road noise was notably louder-do you suggest i do a full daizen rear bushing swap? what kind of noise/feel will i get by doing a full install?
