For Dallas and Plano owners only.. Davenport
This question is for the Dallas guys only,
I have a 98 GS400 and it's due for the 30,000 mile scheduled maintenance.
the Lexus dealer charges $540 for the maintenance, and to be honest with you all, I don't want to pay that much for it.
A friend for mine recommended Davenport Lexus service on Plano Rd., which was about $200 less than the dealer.
Does any of you have any experience with Davenport, and would you recommend it, or should I just pay more and take the car to the dealer.

I've Heard Good
I have not used Davenport, yet, but have heard only good things about them and they have been recommended by a neighbor and a couple of CL members that I have met. I would feel confident in taking my GS to them for service.
Here is their website:

Hope this helps.

Lexus Test Driver
A good shop
I can personally recommend Davenport Motor Company. They worked on my SC400 before I sold it and have done a bunch of work on my current GS4 - all reasonably priced and done to my satisfaction. They installed my P.I. torque converter and TRD sway bars. They also did my TRD STB and painted my TTE grille. The ownership team came from Sewell Lexus and they have at least 7 or 8 Lexus-trained mechanics. We've had 2 ClubLexus meets at their shop. It's as clean as Sewell or Park Place and a
good bit less expensive. I still like Sewell for my dealer work and warranty, but you can’t beat Davenport for non-warranty work.
Talk to Jimy (spelled right) or Ken and tell them that you’re a CL member – they’ve been supportive of the club. They’ll take care of you.
