Hey gang we would have to ramp up quickly but would people be interested in attending this together? It is $55 to show both days. If we get significant interest I can reach out to NOPI about maybe giving us some primetime parking inside. I would also reach out the NELOC, the Florida gang, the SouthWest gang so we have a strong Lexus showing.

HIN/NOPI Supershow Tour 2010 - Atlanta Motor Speedway July 31-Aug 1
Due to scheduling issues, we could not get the usual 3rd weekend of September like before. Maybe next year. Anyway this show will be 4pm to 12am Saturday and 10am to 6pm Sunday. There will be a Gymkhana Drift event, 1/8 mile Drag Race on Pit Road and all the stuff that goes along with a NOPI event. Details are being finalized and will be posted on the website as they become available.
I've been getting questions about why the classes are how they are this year. Ths Classes are Winner system is designed to be used for cars shows with 400 or 4000 cars. Participation varies a lot from market to market. Than being said, this system was created so classes are the same at every show. The amount of winners will be proportional to the number of entries in each class. This way, only the top cars win and no one wins by being the only 1 or 2 cars in class. This is all explained on the "Car Show" page on the website.

Well, speaking from personal experience, their judging leaves a lot to be desired, ie very inaccurate (one year, a stock GS beat out many modded GS's for 1rst place), and they screwed over all their vendors/sponsors a couple of years back, that's why there hasn't been an actual "NOPI Nationals" for a few years now. I'm willing to give them another chance tho, since they are teaming up with HIN, and see if they have learned from their past mistakes. We'll see how it goes.

This has already missed the mark. They are once again trying to profit from an event when the modifed car market has gone away from "pay and show" events. No one cares about being judged any longer much less spending $55 and $400+ on a hotel for the weekend just to be sitting next to stock car with stuffed toys around it.
The free events pull more cars and have taken the lead now. NOPI/HIN needs to take note. I and others would rather go to a free event and get more national coverage, this is where the large blogs have stepped up and put on some of the best events known. Eibach meet, Import Alliance, I/S/O, Hellaflush meets just to name a few. These 4 meets pulled the largest crowds ever the past 2 years and it was centered around CARS not making $$$$.
Its more about the culture not a trophy.
I'd say support these events and keep the culture going strong.....
