Jeremy, I'm up for a change in venue but my attendance will be driven some by Krista's track schedule. Appreciate you and Vu taking the lead on planning!
Couple of suggestions:
Would try to find a weekend not taken by any super-large groups on tail of the dragon calendar. That extra crowd brings long traffic lines and more police attention.
If the group is small enough, I'd suggest consider staying on the Dragon itself at the place where we usually eat lunch. Might be nice for night runs, etc.

Hey Jeremy!
I'm really interested but for me a lot is going to depend on my work schedule. Like I said in my other thread I have my honeymoon for 2 weeks in April, which is really going to put me behind the eight ball at work. Count me in as tenative. Late May would probably work best for me.
I'll also need to see how my car is doing with the turbo kit at that point, since it should be installed by then? But if my car isnt 100% I will just ride along with someone else from Raleigh. I just want to go, I've never been.

Jeremy, I said that we keep it for the may 25th weekend. I'm still checking out some of the routes that Jackie from trackside DE has recomend. I think that the route you had suggested is pretty nice but want to add route 421 to the list. Also, I prefer to stay in Pigeon forged as their are more things to do and eat.

Jeremy, I'll be staying in charlotte that friday night and will gather a group of guys who wants to meet up at 6:00 A.M. that saturday morning and drive up I-26 to meet up with you. Did you find out what exit it is that is located off of I-26 near your parents house?

IDK if I'll be staying at my parents Friday night. I'll drop the family off but Dressed2Kill (Friend Rob aka Tour guide) and myself will proceed on to the hotel Fri. night. Just need to decide which city we're staying in.
Pigeon Forge is @ 2.5 hrs drive from my parent's house. Bevard is close enough to just stay at my parents 25 mins. I think I'd like to stay in Pigeon Forge Sat. night tho. At least we can go out to eat and chill on there strip watch the cars go by. Maybe go carting or putput. There is just sooo much to do in PF and its only about 35 miles from the Dragon.
I'm leaning toward just meeting in Hendersonville, NC (Parents place) earily Sat. morning @ 7am and driving to the Dragon to meet everyone else. That town is going to be busy tho. They have Zdayz going on, which I think is kinda cool also. We could drive all day then proceed to the hotel @ 4pm and check in @ 5-6pm chill for an hour before we go out to eat @ 7-8pm.
Last year we drove @ 350 miles in one day through the mountains. We drove under a waterfall, Stopped and got a bite at the famous "tree" Dragon restrant @ 1:30. We had so much fun. I could write my name on the side of the Lexus from all the brake dust LOL.

I'm definately staying in Pigeon Forge again. It's a blast their. It's almost like a old mining town that includes tons of resturant and things to do. I forgot the name of the hotel that I stayed at last year but it's much nicer than the Microtel. I'll see if I can dig it up again. Another thing that I think it's neat to do is to leave around 9:00 A.M. on sunday and head up towards Gatlinburg which is like 20 miles north of Pigeon Forge. There's alot of good resturant up towards that way also. Then afterwards, head back home through the great smokey mountain. Why don't rob and you stay in hendersonville for the night and whoever that's leaving from Charlotte can leave at 6:00 A.M. or so with me and we'll meet up with you somewhere off of I-26? I'd like to drive through the Pisagh Parkway for once.

US129 - 300+ tight turns in 11 miles. This is a Driving meet! By the time you get home Monday you won't step foot in your Lexus for at least a couple weeks.

Maybe we will have a bigger turnout than last year. Like HKS350 said, be ready to do alot of driving. I will be going up to the dragon at the end of April with S2KI so maybe I will find some new hidden treasures for us to enjoy. I just hope I can keep up with everyone with my little 4 banger!
