Default Club Lexus being took over by advertising?

I don't know if this has been brought up yet but what is going on with all the ads throughout the website?! Ads all around the threads, in the threads, in the COMMENTS...? I understand you got to generate some funds but it's becoming somewhat annoying. Just giving my opinion. Any other members notice and feel the same?

Only when they slow up the loading of pages.

You get CL for free because of supporting vendors and advertisers .

Three suggestions:
1) If any of the ads bother you, I'd suggest you install and use an adblocker plug in. Several threads here discussing some good ones; I use AdBlock for Chrome
2) Many of the advertisements on the forum don't show up when you are logged in, suggest making sure you are browsing that way.
3) Some ads as you describe it above may be coming from adware installed on your PC and not from CL. Run an adware/spyware scanner.

My problem with ads is that most of them suffer from poor programming, and if one stays on a page long enough, your browser will crash.
So, I learned to stop loading the page as soon as the text portion loaded, but before ads are loaded. That prevents the bad code from loading and I can keep the page open without problems. But if I forget to do it, Firefox goes down in flames.
