FREE SEMA tickets from CL. Scam or no?
Hey CL, did any of ya'll enter in the contest to win tickets to SEMA 2011 from here? It was at the top in the announcements a couple months ago, and i went ahead and entered.
Anyway i got an email few days ago saying i won 2 free tickets and a long list of instructions on what to fill out and do in order to get my "Badges" and how i must be in Vegas no later than 12 on Thursday the 3rd of November.
Any info on if this is legit or not? Before i blow all my money with a plane ticket and hotel in vegas with just one other friend (both of us 21).
Any info appreciated. Thanks

If you talking about autogeeks im pretty sure there legit. I order detailing stuff from them all the time. But i would call them up to make sure.

Congratulations again! We sent an email to you last week to invite you to join us at the 2011 SEMA Show as a part of the Opinion Leader Program! The program will take place on Thursday, November 3rd. We hope that you will be able to join us. This questionnaire MUST be filled out in order to confirm your participation in the program. If you respond with a "Yes" and then do not show up for the event, you will not be eligible to participate in any future SEMA programs.
After we receive confirmation from you that you are able to attend, we will mail out your badge. If there is someone you would like to share your experience with, you may bring a guest. Each of you will be limited to 1 guest, no exceptions. If you want to invite a guest with you, please provide us with his or information, including name, address and email address, in this questionnaire. Once the badges have been mailed out, you not be able to add a guest. Additionally, if you bring a guest to the Show who was not registered and is without a badge, he/she will not be allowed into the SEMA Show.
Along with your badge, you will also receive some additional information regarding the program including rules and maps of the Convention Center. We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas on November 3rd.

Is Sema open to the public? Can u just be a "Attendee" and walk the show? I've been wanting to go for years and the last couple of years i've been to Vegas and either missed it or left the day it started. Like this year i'm going up for Halloween but leaving Nov 1st...
So i want to make it a point to go next year. Do i have to know someone in the Auto industry or can i just buy tickets and be a spectator?
