I added a link to Ethan's annoucement to ask folks to place any questions they have in this thread.
I've got some business travel today and may not have access tonight, so if there are items I need to address I may not respond to them until tomorrow late morning.
I'm sure Ethan and the folks at Internet Brands will be checking in from time to time and will chip in.
THANK YOU for your patience in letting us communicate this the right way.

Yea, thats what Id like to know!
I kinda figured that when he said in the announcement that he was going for his MBA... Usually business people arent nerdy enough to create web applications. So did Mike Kilty actually build the website? If he didnt who did?

Both the old version that Mike started with and this one aren't "built" they're "configured" and lightly customized. CL runs on forum software called vBulletin built by a company called Jelsoft.
The company that just bought Club Lexus also bought Jelsoft, and we hope to be able to get new features a lot faster now .

Jelsoft has been very slow with adding new features over the past couple of years. Now that Internet Brands bought a bunch of forums running on vBulletin - AND vBulletin (!), I'm guessing they're not going to let it sit for very long. I think we'll finally start seeing vBulletin become innovative again...

With a dedicated IT department, I think there are huge benefits to IB's position in CL. On top of Jelsoft, the whole deal is a win win situation for CL and the 70+K and growing membership we have.
