Default Anyone else getting certain words linked?

Tire, spoiler, coupe, etc. all have green links to sponsored bubbles. Anyone else getting this? Or did I pick up a virus/spyware somewhere?

Default Still some fine-tuning to be done

I'm getting it too, so unless it is the most rapidly-speading SpyWare ever, it's a safe bet CL is getting some $$$ by allowing sponsored links.

Sometimes the links are way inappropriate- clicking the underlined word "motor" yielded a link to a "computer-controlled salt spreader motor"!

Default A cover charge, eh?

That's not a bad idea, especially if it gets rid of the teenagers dat spel like dis, u no?

But like everything else, I think we'll get used to it in a little while and it won't seem so bad.

Guy's please quit speculating and let administration deal with the intellitext software. You've already gone from asking about intellitext to a new membership plan......lol. Chill and let Ethan and Dave makes some sense of it.

I know this software is used on MANY forums and it is generally limited to the classfieds section where it comes in very handy. This software has only been on here for an hour, let the people in charge do some tuning before we start the bashing, ok?

There are lot's of tweaks to this program I have seen on other forums and It can be setup specific ways. When it is done, then give your two pesos. Fresh out of the box, the program is a nuisance, properly set up, it works very well.

Actually Brian the 1st post had the same question as I and was

not speculating but rather inquiring ....

giving me exception errors and booting me off

By the way, I personally hate it, but it is true that it helps if it is turned on in the classifieds only.
I've dealt with it for a couple months now elsewhere.

I love the late night posting crew -- nothing gets by us I was wondering what was up with the text. This has to be a losing venture for Ethan, so it's understandable.

on a side note, I really wouldn't mind paying for a membership or something. I've really enjoyed my 4 years here!

Yeah, Ethan has been looking at implementing this on a trial basis. I've been out all weekend and didn't get the word on when he planned to turn it on to do an annoucement.

I've advanced the idea to him to do BOTH where we can do a donating member subscription and they don't see any links.

I would be willing to pay a membership fee to get rid of the intellitxt. It almost kills my connection and the site loads slowing then molasses. I hope that we can find some other form of funding for the site because this is a real turn off.

Yeah this intelltext junk is worthless. My AV is treating it like spam by blocking it and gives me errors after the whole page has loaded. This has been the same way on my.is when they implemented it last week.

is CL implementing new sponsers? i noticed some of the keywords in threads are hyperlinks like "Lexus" " dealership" etc...
