LSD from RC350

LSD from RC350
Anyone know the part number for the Torsen Limited Slip Differential ($390 factory option) from RC350? or if it will fit on an IS350?
This would be a game changer for IS350 if it is a direct fit.

Looking at a 2015 RC350 and IS350, the RWD model, the part numbers for the rear differential are the same: 41110-53320.
Following that theory, if the RC had an optional diff. then it should bolt right into the IS350.
The IS350 AWD rear differential however has a different part number. Quite possibly the gear ratio is different, hence a different part number. Physically outside it should be the same and bolt in also.
Although I think the LSD came in the RC F, not the RC350 F Sport. There is still a high probability it will fit as the RC350 and IS350 have the same mounting locations for the diff. they share.

Check the Lexus website.
A LSD is available as an option for RC350 RWD model only.

Unfortunately on this side of the border we don't get the RWD. I checked the the US site, it looks like it's on the RC300 RWD.
I still think it would fit, the gear ratio would need to be looked at.

I think this is the Part Number: 41110-24270
Being the vehicle is so new the online sites may or may not be accurate. The dealer, if the parts department is friendly, may provide the number if you call. The parts catalog may even have the gear ratio.
You're looking at $2K plus for the part alone, then there is installation.

it seems they don't sell the lsd by itself, im sure there is a way to get that part alone.

Given the fitment for that part number, I would say it's not the LSD (for part #41301-53041).
Unless you are skilled (and have the tools) at setting pinion pre-load and side bearing pre-load, which is needed to setup a differential, the easiest and fastest thing to do is just replace the entire diff.
The money you spend in getting the part you will save in the labor in swapping the guts of the diff.

Traction Control is a reactive safety system to maintain straight line control when there is wheel spin...usually through killing power initially.
LSD is about putting the power down to the pavement.
That's my opinion in a very simplistic way...each of those features are a little more complicated than what I summed up.
