Default Dealer installed new plugs now idling seems high

Hello List
Newbie here.

I recently purchased a one-owner 2004 rx330 with 120K miles on it.
Meticulous records from previous owner who had every dealer service at every single recommended interval. It was running fine but I thought I'd change out the original plugs which seemed to be the one thing that had not been done and they had 120K on them..

Yesterday, a local Toyota dealer (they were $100 cheaper than an indy Lexus shop) changed out the spark plugs, and also replaced a couple exterior light bulbs, and a cabin filter. I may me imagining it but I feel like it is idling a bit high and a bit erratic.

Thanks in advance.

Any guesses on what they may have possibly perturbed when doing the spark plugs that would influence the engine's idling?

Welcome!

It's possible a vacuum line was left disconnected. Is the check engine light on yet? If not, it may come on.

No, nothing thus far- and thanks for the thought on that.

Glad to be here. I must say, even as an older vehicle, albeit a well-taken care of one, I am so impressed with the way this SUV drives and its "amenities". Had never even set foot in one before!

idling high and erratic are 2 different things. I vote for something is disconnected. most likely, the unhooked the battery while working on the engine, and the ecu needs to relearn the idle pattern and what not. takes about 100 miles. See if it is back to normal.

On another note it's been over a year now since I bought a 2005 164k, 2 owner rx330 for $7400, I too still am amazed I own such a nice car, and grin when I turn on the seat warmers or side mriror defroster (personal favorite).
