No Sound from IS250
Hey guys, i have a 2010 lexus is250 awd issue is that no sound is coming, but the radio and everything else work on my system. Its non ML and i have the nav system.
now after doing research i have found out that possible issue could be the stock amp, and im willing to shell out the cash for it, but can there be other issues ?
further more another important question. Do i HAVE to use the stock amp? or can i get a good after market amp and use that instead of the stock amp.
thanks!!

does this happen when it rains? how often does it happen? o
if so theres moisture getting into amp.
it's a common dreaded IS250 problem.
I have that problem now, Im thinking about relocating the AMP
in regards to replacing the AMP, a oem replacement would make it a simple fix but yea, it's pricey
you can use an aftermarket AMP but to try to figure out the wiring would be very difficult, unless you have the scamatics

The factory amp is located underneath the plastic cap/cover in the trunk on the passenger side. Simply pry/pull it up to discover if the factory amp is there. More than likely, it is moisture damage causing it not to work. Other members complain of the same thing happening to them.

Did you try the hair dryer trick? Take it out and blow it with a hair dryer. Let it sit for a few hours, plug it back in and test. This worked for me but only temporarily. I had to get a used amp. I found one on ebay for $130. from a 2008 IS350. But they average about $150 for used or $400 for new if you can find one.

My amp was the one that had connection with a nav system and 2010 model which tend to be more expensive. For older models like 2006-2009 you can find the amp to be much cheaper around $150-200 USD
hope that helps. Msg if you need any more assistance
