Tires : perfect balance between noise, performance and treadwear?
Hi all.
Got approximately 27000 km (17000 mi) on the stock Turanza ER33's and they need to go.
Currently debating between :
1) Continental extremecontact DWS06
2) Bridgestone RE970AS
3)Pirelli P Zero Nero (summer tire)
4) Michelin A/S 3+
I don't care about snow/ice grip because I have dedicated winter tires. However I do care about cold surface traction, which is why I'm going with all-season vs summer. I know the ER33's are complete crap, so anything will probably surprise me.
The perfect tire would be quiet, have a good performance and be everlasting... :P
What do you guys recommend?
Edit : I'm really not an aggressive driver. I'll go fast once in a while, but in general I don't beat the car on my daily commute.

I've been using Michelin pilot sport a/s 3's. Great handling for an all season tire, great in the rain. Running staggered set up (350) I got 31,000 on the rears and 41,000 on the fronts. Michelin has a 45,000 warranty and has honored it. A bit of noise in the last few K's, but less than I've experienced with others on other vehicles.

Curious of where you guys are buying your tires from?
I did a quick search for Michelin PSS.
America Tire's with all the fees.. $923 before tax
Costco.. ~$700 before tax, (There is member pricing, but I didn't enter my card #, so I'm guessing this price is for non mems)
Whats the best price for PSS?!

It was ~$958 total, $858 for the tires and $100 for alignment. Long story short, i didn't want the alignment don't there initially. I ended up doing alignment cause the advisor said she can't price match without $200 alignment AFTER I showed up, talk about bait and switch! I agree to it for $100. Also just found out that they damaged 3 of my rims few hours ago. I'm gonna complain tomorrow. Bottom line, proceed at your own risk whichever way you decide to take.

I'ma have my 15k service soon. I will ask about the stock tires thread life & the price for PSS installed. And I agree, that dealer will give peace of mind rather than having an independent shop do it & f it up.
