Default A reminder of how boring "stock" can be...

Random I know, forgive me. A Stock F Sport parked beside me at work today and although I still love a stock GS, it was also a reminder of how boring stock can be haha...so of course I had to snap some pics. SN - I still have a lot of work to do to mine btw. Every time I look on the forum I see how behind I am in modsl.

Funny how many on here do the above black grill mod, which makes the car look more like the newer '16+ models, where Lexus has now done it for you! Then there are many on here who don't like the look of the new models!

Wow what a difference! Once you mod one thing, you've caught the mod bug and won't stop!

Haha, yeah a lot of people have done it but most wrap there's where I had mine painted. I was doing a conversion to F Sport bumper anyway so I had them paint it that way, plus I had durability issues with my last bumper being wrapped. From what I see it's a love it or hate it thing with the new spindle type grills. Yeah the new ones already have it done and I'll probably trade up eventually, but this will do for now!

Definitely a difference imo! You're absolutely right about the mod bug, been modding cars since my first car (1983 Camaro) back when I was 16 lol. I definitely have more planned with this thing though!

Why not wrap the side view mirrors and door handles and get the limited edition Crafted line look.

Funny you say that lol. I already have plans on wrapping the mirrors and roof. I am on the fence about the door handles. Black and White contrast on a car is the best combo!

I still prefer the original look with a drop.

The blacked out front bumper looks out of place on 13-15 GS because the grill is not as large and wide enough as the newer lexus lineups. Mho though.

Yeah, it's a preferred taste it seems. One thing I will say is that I get a lot more compliments with the front blacked out as opposed to how it was before. Also, the GS refreshed spindle is smaller than the LS and RC grills which shows it's not as much of a stretch compared to the LS grill in your pic...they all seem to be different sizes per model. Trust me, I would much rather have a refreshed GS with the big spindle but for now that's not happening haha.

All good! I'm in the same boat as you lol!!

The Black out looks so much better on the LS than our GS, so sad...

I know right haha. I think our GS would look better with it and a dark chrome surround piece like all the other models...then it would look like it should.
