Default HELP! Tranmission cooler line issue!

So here's the situation-

About 3 weeks ago I noticed transmission fluid under my car near the front bumper. I got under the car and found that it was leaking from the transmission line that goes into the radiator to be cooled. In November I replaced the radiator and swapped all fittings, and sensors.
The leak was more specifically coming from this "compression?" fitting.

I was able to clean it up and put it back on no issues. Fast forward to today. I came out to my car at a friends house and there was yet another red puddle under the car. It was the same fitting. I tried to find fittings at auto part stores, and when I went to the dealership the parts manager said that this part was NOT for my car.

While at the hardware store I found that the treads are extremely close to a 1/4" barbed brass fitting. However the male fitting on the radiator is not that thread pitch.

My question is: What metric thread pitch is equivalent or close to 1/4"?

Why not buy the correct fitting at the dealer?

Did the new radiator come with fittings? I know you said you swapped them, but were there any in the box? If not you would probably have to go to the dealer for that. Problem with something from the hardware store would be that not only would the thread have to be correct but also the flare or else it will leak.

The radiator I bought for my GS had a dodgy thread, and the fitting wouldn't sit in.
It was easier for me to just buy an aftermarket cooler (PWR - $150 AUD) and bypass the factory radiator based heat exchanger.

Soooo... I did some digging around and found some part numbers for the fitting. I found what I thought was the right part, but it was so hard to tell with pictures that looked to be etched in stone. So I went to the dealer and ordered a couple parts. They came into my work today. SO i will pick them up tomorrow and hopefully install!!

Thanks for the help guys!
