Interior trim pieces questions
Just purchased an 08 model. It has these hideous stick on CF pieces that are peeling off and look awful. I got a good price on the vehicle so it's worth investing a little on the interior. What are my options? Can I buy a new piece and replace the old piece, can I just buy the shroud that covers the screen/AC vents? Other CF aftermarket pieces look like have been added around the door handles, starter button. Are the factory pieces the 2 center consoles and around the window switches? I'd like to remove them all and go to a darker color CF if it isn't a big job? Not a fan of the gold CF look. Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Once you get the decals off you may want to use an adhesive remover to clean off any residual glue/tackiness. The trim around the radio unit, AC vents, door handles and start button look to be just add ons which will revert back to the stock appearance when removed. The console and window trims are the OEM and would need to be swapped out to change the look. If you wanted to change your look to black carbon trim I could help you with that.

Some "after" pics. The glued trim pieces came off and cleaned up pretty easy. I got 19 pieces total"dipped" in the faux CF. I'm pretty happy with the way it all came out.

Agreed. The dash mats are a bit ugly but are a must here in the brutal Florida Summers. And they help with glare too. The dash is starting to get sticky. I was hoping it was covered under a recall but the stealership said it isn't. We have a 2006 Toyota Avalon LTD and that was covered and they replaced the whole dash. The door panels are a little mushy too. Not sure why some were covered and some weren't.
