Default LCA bushing 4865450010

Will the Lexus lower control arm bushing 4865450010 fit in a 98-00 UCF20 lower control arm?

Good question. The LCA's are different part numbers so I can say for sure. I've used Adus poly bushings before but if you don't lube them just right with the proper grease they squeak bad.

I I have some UCF20 LCA's laying around if you can provide me itch some precise measurements and I will compare.

I definitely don't want poly. I was browsing around and discovered

lists the same control arm bushing SPF3090K for every LS between 90 and 00.
I wouldn't buy the 4865450010 bushing for my 99 based on this info but it made me curious enough to pose the question...

As the cars get older there then will be no choice of if you want to use poly or not as it will be the only option, unless someone can cross reference to what else would work.
This goes for ball joints I can't believe there is no out fit that sell them based on dimensions rather than application. Worse case is make my own parts if needed.

New LCA's are still available from Lexus/Toyota. They're about $233 a piece or something like that. I rarely see LCA bushings go bad on these cars. It's always the strut rod bushings, upper control arms, and lower ball joints. I'm not saying you're are not bad but stay away from replacing parts just because you think they're old and have got to be bad.

And then when confronted with the case of trying to sell a car that may only sell for a bit over $1000. no one is going to spend 466 . Cheap poly has its place.

True, this is where the junkyard can come in as well. A much lower mileage car that was wrecked could have great lower control arms.

Don't worry guys I'm not going to replace them just for FUN.
I am, however, about to rebuild my entire (almost) front end. I have new UCA's, Bilsteins, strut mounts, strut insulators, bumbers etc.
Sway bar bushings and end links as well as new bushings for the strut bars. The inner bushing of the LCA is basically the only rubber component NOT being replaced so it will be checked but as of right now it's not part of the plan.

At 260k, my upper control arm bushings were great, my lower control arm bushing on one side was totally done. Lower Ball Joints were toast as well

my 99LS has a new popping sound, that shows up when I back out my garage, and cut my wheels sharply to the right, and then cut back to the left when I put it in drive..... I have replaced my SRB's twice (and properly clocked) in 7 years, and both lower ball joints... my upper CA's are solid, but after seeing your lowers, I am wondering about my lower arms.... my current problem is my body (human) it turns 83 in june, and I cant do it anymore ... and I just really dont trust a lot of guys who are "supposed to know"..

Nope we done rear brakes couple of weeks ago on the original rears (with 209k) and checked the fronts.. , but my popping started before that.. and just now I backed out and cut my wheels hard left (no popping) and then back right to go forward and no sound.. so it is only when I cut hard to right I hear it and then again back left to go forward..

Does anyone know of a trustworthy aftermarket vendor that make the bushings for the 97 LS400's front strut rods (the ones that Scrappes showed on the right of his photo)? I know Febest makes the bushings for the LCA's. There's a vendor on eBay selling the front strut rod's bushings made in Thailand but I'm not sure if they're any good. Please advise. Thanks.

i personally opted to buy OEM new strut rods for both sides with new bushings already pressed in. They were around $130 a piece. I saw some aftermarket strut rods for cheaper on ebay, though

You can find genuine Lexus/Toyota easily online. Lexus of South Atl sells them for $33 ea !!!

I bought a pair from my local Toyota dealer then found 2 strut rods at a local scrap yard. A local machine shop pressed the new bushings in so when I'm working on the car I can swap them easily without having to take the arms somewhere and wait.
