Default Can anybody help identify if this can work with newer iphone?

I recently bought this GS, and if has an adapter to use an iPod classic which was newer when he used it in the car and supposedly could see track names and scan using factory control etc.... can anybody help identify if that can be modified to work on a newer iPhone with lightning hookup or if I'm basically stuck using the iPod classic to get it to work... I select sat3 and it plays. He had an iPod classic and showed me how it works etc. so I know it will work. But I would like to be able to use my new iPod etc.

i was looking at the Vias tech setup but thought I would give this one a shot first. Thanks all

I assume at the end of one of those cables is the old 30 pin connection. If so, apple sells an adapter for it. Or 3.5mm?

Now as far as seeing names, not sure on that.

I have one of those and I can't get it to work. I get the 'this iPod does not work with this accessory error message.

Sounds like possibly unofficial apple product? I know Apple is finicky with this kind of thing. Did a quick search and the Apple one does say that it supports audio out. Not sure if you have the original or a 3rd party?

I tried using an old Ipod Touch and that is still using the 30 pin, and it comes up with same message, this Ipod is not supported...

Try updating firmware via the mini usb, or adjusting dip switches (unplug power prior to adjustment and re-plug).
