I have a 2007 RX 350 and need new tires...I have the 18 inch variety. I have searched on the forum but not found much in way of recommendations for what tires are best...meaning no noise, good traction primarily. I have a Mercury Mountaineer and have had tires that are very noisy in the past, and once you buy em...you keep em! Can anyone suggest good tires? NOTE: Update...I bought Bridgestone Dueller HL Alenza Plus and tires are great...no noise, nice ride!

Best is opinionated. You have to try them for yourself as what I consider "noisy" may not be the same as what you consider it.

But I just put on Firestone Destinations LE2's on my RX330 with the 18" wheel. Huge fan, quiet and grippy. Replaced worn out Michellin's that came with the car which were noisy to me.

I've also had luck with Bridgestone Dueler's on my old Highlander, but that's a much thicker tire so it'll definitely be quieter and smoother.

Thanks Jim...done that. Wanted to see specifically on RX 350's, what the experience has been. On Tirerack, you can see the reviews and then listed by your type of vehicle, but not many for the RX350 and then most are dated.

I put Bridgstone Ecopia on my 04 rx it made a big improvement in ride quality and very quite .
I sold that and bought a 2011 rx that had new tires on it . It rode like a truck switched them out for
Ecopia again same result 100% better ride . The price is reasonable also .

If you are really fussy about tires, Michelin, Continental, Toyo, Yokohama tires are good choice.
In my family we have two tires/rims sets. One for summer driving and one for winter driving.
Summer for forementioned ones, winter we always had good luck with Nokian or Michelin Xice 2.

I put Michelin LTX defender series tires on my RX400h and they appear to be smooth and quiet.

It seems any Summer tire is smooth & quiet after listening to the Winter tires for about 4-5 months, especially when the pavement is dry.
I am pleased with the Michelin brand.

I just put on some new Bridgestones (80,000 mile tire). This is our second set and lasted the longest of the tires I've tried so far. Yokahama's did not last very long (30k, worst), Michelin's are nice as well and I got closer to (35k). The bridgestones lasted about 38k (might of gotten another 2k but winter is here so wanted better tread for snow).

I basically pick the tires with the highest mileage warranty because discount tire refunds me a warranty replacement each time. So my total cost this time was $395 for a new set of Bridgestones.

Thanks SkiMe, I will get new ones next week and post what I get. As I had mentioned earlier, one of my primary concerns was the noise as some tires are very loud which is not what you want with this type of car...or any car really.

Completely understand Joe. The Bridgestones were quiet and did not notice anything unusual. Been a good tire.

Now, the blazer has mud tires so noise......well.

I've had more issues with my trans making noise then tires lol but as you can see, a few recommend Bridgestone/Firestone tires, good brand from my experience and i'll probably never go back to Michelin anytime soon.

I have General Alitmax rt43 on both of my cars. Love them. Good ride, quite, handle well, braking is great. No complaints, they also have great reviews on tirerack.
