Default Radiator

went to have the timing belt and such done and they called to say the radiator is leaking from the side. I see it's not an uncommon problem. Is there a tsb,,campaign, or recall associated with an 2008 gx470 radiator?

TIA

No recall. No one's gonna pay the bill for you unfortunately. The good news is that the aftermarket radiators usually last a lot longer than the OEM one.

It is common for that age. OEM and aftermarket radiators will range from $100-$200 from Amazon, Rockauto.com.

Yeah, very common. I think I only paid like $130 for a new Denso on Amazon.

Yep, they split. Now is the time. I might be wrong, I will look in my history, not saying any of the other suggestions are bad, I THINK I went with a Koyo, I THINK! direct fit a lot of people suggested them. Not the cheapest option, but thats my opinion. If you want the info part name # I will find it.

My 08s Radiator was shot and Dealer was asking $1200 to replace.. LoL.... So i bought the same DENSO 2213125 Radiator that Dealer was going to put in (Except it would say Toyoto and Denso Both On it) from Rock Auto for $149 plus $8 in shipping. Also purchased 2 gallons of Toyota Coolant.
I don't go Aftermarket Route e.g. Koyo etc.Especially when most of the Parts in GX are Denso and available for much better Price on Rock Auto with warranty etc.

BTW my New Radiator is running just fine. Below is the link for more info on the Rad...

I went with a Denso from Rock Auto when I had the timing belt/water pump service done as well.
