I picked up a 2013 gx460 yesterday for my wife. Super nice car with 25,000 miles.

are there any known issues with this car? I was offered a full warranty for 120,000 miles for $3,000. I would rather not buy it unless there are some big issues out there. I plan to keep the car for 100,000 more miles.

the warranty pretty much covers everything except electronics, paint, etc. I read the entire policy and while it picks up most of the issues I have had with cars in the past I don't know if it is worth the money.

the gx 470 we just got rid of only cost us about $4,000 in repairs over 6 years and 100,000 miles.

Any my opinions would be great. I am in the insurance business and realize what a pain in the butt the companies are to deal with.

Do not waste your money. If you are in the insurance business, you should know what a rip-off this is (even aside from the difficulty getting claims paid). You still have the balance of the basic, powertrain and corrosion warranties. We have a 2013 with 55K+ miles, and have never needed anything other than routine service.

That is exactly what I was thinking. If there were some major issues I was going to consider it.
