Curious as a new comer to the lexus and GX family what other forums and/or sites are you active on to get information about our vehicles? Don't get me wrong this place is great just a curiosity thing if i'm missing out on more sites/resources.

Welcome to CL... IMO this forum is the best Lexus forum in regards to resources.. I too have searched over the years for other forums and still find that this one is the the go to forum for Lexus..

I find that people here are not only helpful, but also level headed and most don't get involved in the typical "grade school" nonsense that is present on some other forums..

I also wish this forum was more active as I'm really interested in enjoying my "new to me" 12' GX460. Maybe more participation is required by everyone including myself. Nonetheless, I do enjoy this forum and it's certainly the best out there.

Not a lot of people foruming about their GX in general. However, the ones you find here are by and large quality, friendly, helpful people.

Sometimes I look at toyota-4runner.org which has a tremendous following.

Welcome aboard.

Specific model forum gets more traffic when things break down, something to complain about or things to mod.

Other than that, head on over to Car Chat, tons of traffic there.

For Lexus GX specific, this is probably the best one out there. If you wanted to muddy the waters a bit you can check out the 150 series forum on ih8mud 150-Series Toyotas (4runner, GX, and some prado) and take a look at pradopoint.com. Both of these have some sort of modified versions of the GX or the overseas siblings, the Prado. As someone stated earlier, T4R.org is also another good source if you were looking for some ideas to mod the GX. I believe they say that some of the 5th gen accessories are direct fits to the GX (lifted suspension components, wheels, and possibly rock sliders).

I wish this forum was as busy as the 5th gen 4runner forum though. It's always nice to go through a couple pages of new material every day.
