Default Borla exhaust installed

so I had my borla exhaust installed this past saturday and I must say it sounds great. I think the tone is perfect for a daily and the youtube videos don't come close to what it really sounds like in person. I really wanted the joe z but I couldn't pass up the great price.

Congrats! I think a definite consensus is that none of the YouTube videos give any of the exhausts any justice. I love what RR Racing has done with the Borla/ Bazooka setup.

Yeah the muffler delete on the borla exhaust is one to be experienced. I have yet to gut my cats to hear the sound but I'm sure that would be fun to have for at least a while. If not I'll get the quad tip magnaflows from RR

I installed the borla cat back recently as well. I love the deep exhaust note. It makes it sound like a muscle car now. Not too loud for the wifey and our born daughter. I am so tempted to get some PPE headers and tune now

I Say do it, but the sound will increase with headers. I've got the Borla/PPE/joe-z intake elbow/afe filter/hi-flow cats and it gets a bit loud for me at times and the tune is worth it in my opinion.

Good choice, I too went with the borla catback and have been very happy with it. It sounds just right for a daily...not too loud, but not too quiet.

Yes I agree, the YouTube videos do not do the exhaust justice. Sounds way better in person!

Installing mine this week along with new wheels, cannot wait! Hoping for deeper with no/minimal drone as everyone says.

Drone is subjective. But you'll find out in due time.

Very true, but compared to the Borla+RR racing tips, joez, ISS, and other exhausts the borla catback seemed to be the least droney. My F will very much be a 30k mile/year DD, so any excessive drone would be quite unpleasant. In any case, the V8 drone should be better than the VQ drone I'm used to hearing on most setups on Infiniti/Nissan, though my Invidia catback/HFC never had any.

I had a 370Z with LTH and Motordyne E370 and the Borla on the F is very civil in comparison. You should be okay! The Invidia with HFC is actually pretty tame too compared to other exhausts like the Tomei (that thing was loud with LTHs).

I loved my HKS Exhaust on my 350Z, no drone whatsover. Would love to get my hands on the HKS for the F but it's so darn pricey. I'm thinking of maybe going with a custom twin loop.

I'm not a fan of drone, so this was one of my concerns before installing my borla catback. I'm not going to lie, there is some drone with the borla catback, but in my opinion it's not that bad and very tolerable. In my opinion, overall this system is perfect for a daily in our cars.

I've had Borla's on 3 cars including the F. I've also had the drone issue on 2/3 cars. On the F is the least. Love the sound and the price wasn't bad either.

I paid 660 and then 80 for the install. I was originally going to order the rr racing bazooka tips fearing that the borla wasn't going to sound good but that isn't the case at all.
