Default 07 IS250 won't start

Hello, I've had my car parked for 8months without starting running it. I have been trying to get it started for about 3 weeks now but all the car does crank over and over but the engine won't turn on. The car is recognizing the key and dash is check is complete. Installed a new fuel pump and getting great fuel pressure, just changed the throttle body so thats working fine, checked the injectors and plugs they are firing but the car just won't start. Any advice at this point would be greatly appreciated.

The problem you are experiencing is a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor. It will not even throw a code sometimes. Replace that and report back.

Have you pulled a spark plug to see if the plug is wet with fuel? Are you sure you're getting fuel and spark?

Lexus Master Tech here,

Check to see if the check engine light comes on with the key on, engine off (double tap of start button without touching brakes). If it does not come on, it is likely the fuel pressure sensor on the back of the high pressure fuel rail. An easy way to see if that is it is to remove the intake manifold, unplug the sensor, and reinstall everything with the sensor unplugged. The vehicle will start, but a check engine light will be illuminated. The sensor requires precise torque with special tools, and I would recommend you send it to a dealer to install.

Today I checked the plugs, they are completely burnt out. Would that actually prevent the car from starting?

Double tapped the start button to the On position and yes the check engine light stays on along with some other lights.

In your first comment you said the plugs were firing. So I assume that if they are fouled, it might be because you have been cranking it for 3 weeks and it doesn't start.

According to Lexus Master Tech it would seem your Check Engine light would have gone out if it were the fuel sensor. Since your light stays on I'm not sure if that would mean it is operating properly.

My guess is the crankshaft position sensor. Can't guarantee it will solve your problem but you are experiencing the symptoms of what happens when it goes bad. You can crank the engine for ever and the car won't start because your timing is affected.

Finally got the car started after replacing the spark plugs, bare in mind I have already changed to fuel pump and throttle body. Now Im faced with another issue where the car is starting but revs up and down on its own then eventually shut off. Also, its not really responding when I push the gas pedal to the floor so basically the just idles up down until it shut off.

clean the MAF sensor(mass airflow sensor) on the air intake snorkel. You can buy a spray can from an autoparts store made just for cleaning the MAF sensor. The fact that the car has an rough and surging idle makes me think it could be this. Cleaning it doesnt always cure the problem and sometimes they need to be replaced and I would not replace it with anything but OEM.

In addition to cleaning the MAF, I'd suggest seafoaming the top end. You may be dealing with our friend carbon build up
