Default Air Strut Failing

I discovered yesterday AM that my right front Air Strut had deflated. Is there a way to check for leaks in the lines, or is it time to get this replaced???

probably time for a replacement. Check on craigslist, you can find them for 100 to 150 each in decent shape. An easy DIY job if you're so inclined.

EASY DIY???
It would have to be, if I'm doing it. I have limited tools (no floor jack), but I do have some garage space.
Is there video on this 'easy DIY'??

Thanks in advance!

Interesting, I don't have a UL LS430, always was afraid of the Air shocks...but, that does not look too bad...

It's a much much easier job than replacing the non-air version.

I'll have to look deeper into this; it may have some DIY potential for me!
Thanks!

Could someone tell me the name (or part #) of the tool that is used to remove the air line from the strut? I'd prefer not to try finding a piece of hose/line and rig it to fit for this function...

You could easily fabricate the air line removal tool as shown in the video.

OK, I ordered 'The Tool'. Now, I'm officially committed! Well, not really until I order the air strut ($1300+) from Lexus Parts World! My trusted indie place wants about $2000 to do this job.

The guy in the uTube video spent all that time to install a used air strut, even after stating that he already got a used one that failed!!! After spending all the time that it takes to tear things apart and re-assemble, I just can't see putting a part in that isn't new. I guess some people are more inclined to gamble on that.
In the end, he mentioned making some final adjustments after the replaced strut left the car too high. I didn't quite understand how he did that...

So...before I make a commitment on this adventure, any thoughts from those more familiar with this process? Please don't hold back!
