Default 05 RX330 Bluetooth for Pandora?

Felt like a champ today when I got the wife's iphone 4 connected to Rex's bluetooth (how many of our cars are named Rex? Haha!) but that feeling quickly went away when she took off to work only to call me and ask why Pandora didn't play through the speakers. Did I do something wrong? I can't even see Rex on the pulldown menu for playing music from the phone.

Is the bluetooth on our cars for calls only?

Thanks!

Correct - the Bluetooth in the 2005 RX is for phone calls, not for A2DP (streaming music profile, essentially).

Yeah, I know, bummer.

This may be an option for you but it does sound like others have had some bugs.

Discussion on it.

However, they do sell just a Bluetooth module or a USB module for $150.....might be a better option.

We just did a road trip and used our daughter's Bluetooth speaker to listen to a book from my phone. Not ideal, but it worked!

I have had 3 different BT adapters over the past few years. This is the one I like the best. https://www.amazon.com/SL3B-L-SoundL...rds=vais+lexus

It even hits the Agree button on the nav screen for you .

Install instructions here. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-04-07-rx.html

At the other end of the spectrum you can use this . It actually sounds great and is easier to install. https://www.amazon.com/INSTEN-Univer...7397687&sr=1-1
