Default Navigation Sopped Working???

I have a 2002 GS300, about a week ago the battery started to go bad, and during that time Navigation screen would intermitantly go blank but when I would push the map button it would re-appear. I replaced the battery and this issue continued for about another week and then Nav screen stopped working all together and when you push the map button nothing happens. Now realize the climate control and radio still function normal. I have disconnected the battery and nothing changes. I accessed the nav unit in the trunk and I can hear it working but when I try to eject the disc nothing happens. I also looked at both fuse panels on the driver and passenger side and none of the fuses look blown. Any info has on this is greatly appreciated.
