Default Best option to play audio from 3.5mm port-less iPhone 7?

I have a 2008 LS where the only option is the Aux port.

Apple opted to nix the 3.5mm port on my iPhone 7 so I can't connect it with a cable.

What are your ideas to play audio from my phone?

Bluetooth. Vaistech website will provide you options. I uinstalled the SL3B and it works extremely well. Crystal clear sound and allows you to still use your steering wheel controls etc. Shows you the name of the tracks, etc.

bluetooth or lightning options..

cheapest bluetooth would be about $20-$40 total.. decent bluetooth/lightning option ~$150-$200

There are bluetooth to 3.5 adapters out there. I know I looked at them before.

Get a 3.5mm headphone jack aux cable and use the adapter that came with the phone.

You could grab a Sony SBH-20, 50, 52 or 54 on Amazon.
I use this for general Bluetooth headphone needs. Any 3.5mm jack plugs into them to send the BT audio signal out to headphones or in this case the car.
It actually also functions as a handset for calls like so...

This link is to the SBH-52 on Amazon.
The SBH-54 is available from Amazon UK for about the same price. (~$70)

The only consideration for this would be power or charging for the device.
It will run music for 10 hours on a charge but charges in about an hour.
It will work while plugged in if you have a source for 2 USB chargers in your glove box (I assume you reserve one for your device).

I have a 2007 without navigation and I notice vaistech has a sl3u-l for that, however, mine also has a 3.5 aux port in the console glove box (which I now use with a Bluetooth converter) but the sound is not so good. Do you think the vaistec unit will produce better sound from the stereo unit ( not ML)? Or is the unit really for systems without an aux port?

I have an aux port as well, but I can honestly say that the Bluetooth sounds better to my ears, but I have an ML system. I know this can fly in the face of those who insist that plug in is always lossless and sounds better, but for me I disagree.
