Default Nuluxe blister passenger seat

I've seen some posts pertaining to issues with the nuluxe material on the bench portion of the F Sport seats developing blisters. My case is a non F sport and it applies to the front passenger seat and the bolster which your right leg rests against. The car is a daily commuter and it's rarely used to transport others so the passenger seats do not experience wear and tear like most cars. With that being said I've noticed a blister developing on the bolster which I find surprising given the lack of use of that seat.

Ive attached a picture and hopefully it's clear enough to notice. What has your guys' experience been in dealing with the dealer to address nuluxe seat issues?

Hard to see the blister in the picture. Have you brought the car to the dealer as this should be covered under warranty.

Seems like a natural occurrence to me. These things are mass produced and material tends to not be pulled perfectly tight everywhere at all times. temps can also have something to do with. i wouldnt worry

Thanks for the reply guys, sorry for the picture not being clear. Maybe this one will work better to show where the problem is. I plan on taking the car into the dealer for the screen (anti glare coating is coming off) as I believe there is a TSB for this. I also plan on raising this issue with them as I am not really pleased with this NuLuxe material with my experience.

Let us know what they say.

I love my Nu Luxe. Looks fantastic in all conditions!

My drivers seat side bolster has deflated to an extent, see photo. I showed this to the local dealer a few months ago while having my oil replaced.
Service advisor stated it is normal wear and tear of getting in and out of the car. My car is a 2015, 11k miles on it, stays inside the garage for the majority
of the day. Disappointed with this Lexus 'service excellence'. Oh by the way, I weigh 163lbs.

Thanks for your input Dan, and with the way Lexus up-sells the Nu-luxe material as being more durable than actual leather it should hold up much better to "normal wear and tear".

I have an appointment to take my car in this Saturday to have the NAV-Radio screen cover replaced due to the peeling of the anti-glare reflective coating. I noticed a TSB on it, so I'm assuming they will cover it under that. Regarding my seat, they claimed "normal wear and tear".

If you guys had leather, your wear would be way worse. Vinyl is MUCH less vulnerable to wearing/damage--by far. not even CLOSE.

Your cars look great. Don't worry about it.

I definitely agree with your point, because my 2008 Infiniti G35 had creases and showed wear after 5 months. Surprisingly enough, Infiniti offers their own version of NuLuxe on the Q50a model, which has very good resistance to wear.
