I'll probably do the SC430 retrofit but interested to see what you choose to go with.
Anything should be better than the halogen.

the SC430 retrofit is the way to go. I build a thread on how to do it. Best upgrade I ever did.

If you're keeping the oem lights, you will at least need to drill a hole in the plastic rear cover for the low beams. That allows a sealing grommet for hid wire entry through the back of the housing. Same with the fogs. You'll kick yourself for not going to hid's earlier...best money I've spent on the LX and the hid's are still going strong after 4 years (~ 10K/yr.).

Parts came from DDM Tuning, though there are hundreds more places to get them. Be aware that if you order from JDMtoys.com and need to return anything (their error, not mine) they take forever to refund your $$ once they receive the wrong stuff back. I finally had to involve AMEX, and I had my money back after a quick phone call.

My setup...

Low beams...50 watt ballasts, 5300 K bulbs (running on 50 watt ballasts = 6000K). Lexus projectors. Each lamp has its own relay which is triggered by the oem headlight connector.

High beams...Not designed for hid's as they're reflectors, not projectors. Don't be "that guy" driving around causing blindness. HIR bulbs are an awesome upgrade for the high's and involve simply removing and replacing bulbs.

Fogs...35 watt ballasts, 3500 K bulbs (definitely yellow). Ballasts triggered directly from oem wiring.
