Default Which car battery would you recommend?

My car is 4 years old and I'm thinking of getting a new battery by the end of this year.
What do you recommend? Get one from Lexus or buy something else..

Just had a new battery installed by Lexus 3 weeks ago. It is an Interstate battery with the Lexus brand on it. I was glad to get rid of the OEM Panasonic battery that had a high failure rate.

Dealer also installed a green interstate battery in mine. The OEM one wouldn't hold a charge anymore...

The Interstate has 2 green ones. I'm guessing the MT7 AGM one is a better choice?

I had Mega tron plus for $120 on my 2013 GS for almost 2 years. Still going strong. Local Interstate dealers will match online vendor such as Firestone. Can't beat that price for a good quality battery. I also had 2 other Mega tron plus on Sienna and Mazda 5 as well.

After 4 years I put a Diehard Platinum in my GX. A little pricy and CCA's were a bit overkill but started up quick on even the coldest days.

WalMart 3 year replacement, 5 year prorated battery made by Johnson Controls (also Diehard) is a good bet!

You can't go wrong with DieHard batteries.

That's a great list to study when shopping for batteries. You'll learn that these thousands of battery brands - Interstate, DieHard, Optima - are all made by about twelve manufacturers. The brands swap manufacturers in and out and their are only a handful of reputable ones. So, shop manufacturers, NOT brands.

My suggestion is the O'Reilly Super Start Platinum - 34PLT. AKA, the Sears DieHard Advanced Gold. These are re-badged Deka Intimidator made by East Penn. They are AGM battery with 775 CCA and some deep-cycle qualities perfect for high accessory load vehicles like the Lexus GS 350. Much better than OEM or conventional sealed lead acid batteries.. It's readily available for $155 and only needs one of those free battery spacers to fit perfectly into the GS.
