Tail Light Upgrade - Front Blinker Question
I am aware of the threads on exactly how to upgrade early SC430 tail lights to the "06-10 look" but I have never seen anything related to the front blinkers when doing this. Does anything at all have to be done to the front blinkers to make them work properly with the different LED system that will be in the rear? Or, do these lights work independently and just blink in sync on their own? Thanks for any information that you can supply.

The 06-10 tails have incandescent turn bulbs. Only the brake is LED so, no, the turns don't go hyper like if you installed LED turns without load resistors or changing the blinker relay.

Thanks for the information, guys. Haven't physically seen the new tail lights and hadn't considered that the turn signals might still be incandescent. Looking for ward to ordering the new set up and getting them installed.

I just finish the update and man, what a transformation !
Honestly, all early SC owners need to do the tail lights.
The old style lights are just very dated compare to the LED tail !

my Photobucket app is down
starting to tackle the " black tape " approach
today. I got the front cover off but now I need
A strong magnet screwdriver so the darn screws
Dont fall to the bottomless pit

I wonder if when you had the dash in pieces if it would have been just as easy to remove the light source or are those surface mount LEDs there? (I think only the later model SC430s have the LEDs though.)

pulling the dash board cluster out is really not difficult.
I simply followed "mandyflg's " instructions and within 30 minutes,the dash light
was out. I am not exactly handy but I was not planning to pay $600+$100 labor
to pull the trunk apart for the ECU
The tail lights really made the rear end a different car.
Get your tail changed and you will be a happy camper.
now if I can just get my chrome bulbs in , I would be excited
