Default Where to buy 2ES chrome wheels

I've been looking for a set of nice, clean, used 2ES 15" chrome wheels, but so far have come up empty. Keeping an eye on regional Craigs List sites, and I know you can pay stupid money for the rechromed ones on ebay, but I won't be spending that much for 15" wheels no matter how good they look.

I guess I can piece together a set 1 by 1, but that never ends up looking good. Does anyone know where I might be able to score a set of these?

Ty using "craigslist crawler" which scans craigslist's from all over for a specific item you are looking for.

That doesn't work, at least it doesn't for me and many others I've read about. My understanding is that it hasn't for some time now.

Expand your search to 3ES or 4ES chrome wheels, or wheels from the IS or GS.

Everywhere I've checked, these wheels are $200-$300 rechromed new, whether 2ES, 3ES, etc. I've found plenty of old junky cars for sale 500 miles away with the wheels on them (also probably junky), but nothing in the way of a clean used set someone tucked away in their garage. It would seem it's "all or nothing" with this particular search.

If anyone knows anyone else with a set of these for sale, please post here. Thanks.

why not look for the 00/01 standard wheels? most are chrome and look very similar to the 2ES wheels and are 16's

Because I want to put them on my mint condition '93 ES300 5-speed that is otherwise 100% stock original. But, I would also take a set of the 16s, as I have an '01 that I could put them on.

In short, I'd be interested in both. Combination of A) complete set B) good condition, and C) reasonable price is apparently a pretty tall order, though.

$200-300 is not a bad price for a set of freshly rechromed wheels. Like you said, going to junk yards is a toss up and it's very unlikely somebody would want to part with a flawless set of chromies.

Not per set...per wheel! That's over a grand for chrome 15 inch wheels....not gonna happen.

Oh man, that's worth more than the car. I imagine finding a set of good chrome wheels will be like spotting a unicorn. Good luck.

I would certainly hope the car is worth just a shade more than a thousand bucks...after all, this IS the GhostCar we're talking about;-) But yeah, it doesn't make sense to spend that kind of cash for a set of 15" wheels on this car.

The car is in mint, original, unmodified condition. I really have no desire to change that about the car (I've got other cars I can mod). Just wanted the chrome rims to finish off the look of a mint, loaded, super rare 5 speed ES.

Car-part.com, do a search. There's some there, personally, get the 16" version from the 00-01.

I found a set locally for 350$ shipped.

However, you can piece them together cheap via car-part. I just saw a ton of 16" wheels, without the "chrome peel" notes, for 40-200$ ea.

The 16" look so right on the 2ES, and you can run bigger rubber on it.

Either way, get some pics, email the salvage yards. Get them, polish with #000 STEEL WOOL [best polish for chrome/metal btw...], they'll look new again!
That's what I did to mine, they had pits, and stuck on road grime/brake dust. Steel wool to the rescue, man did they ever shine. Never did more than car soap & a quick wash...

Those do look really, really nice on your car. Ive got an '01 with those wheels, but non-chrome. Those would be an acceptable 2nd choice. Was hoping to use the brand new tires that are on the stock 15" wheels, but if I decide to keep the car long-term, that won't matter much in the end (make the 15s the winter tires/wheels).
