Default Lowered in SF

Hi Guys
my car needs a long overdue drop. My heart was pretty set on BC racing coils but I live in San Francisco. For those who are lowered living in the city or along the peninsula, how do you manage? I just don't see it to be physically possible if you're lowered going up and down van ness, or the hilly parts in the city. I've considered air but $ may be an issue as I got other things to take care of.
let me know and if you could provide pics of your driving height that'd be great.

thanks!

I think air suspension is the way to go (especially) in SF with a lot of ramps and potholes.

I've been living in the city all my life, but my cars haven't been lowered past 2 inches lol. I did have a friend who was lowered on H&R springs that's about 2 inches. I'd say as long as you do a 1.5-2 inch drop you should be fine. Also a front lip would make things a bit more difficult, depending on which one you have/get. You should haven't any problems as long as you plan your route out and drive slowly when it comes to those intense slants of hills.

You pretty much gotta do what most people do if you don't bag it. Buy a second hand daily or make the sacrifice of riding static and learn from your mistakes(scraping). Being you've have the luxury of living in the city all your life I'm pretty sure you should know your steepest streets aka routes. If this is your only car and your gonna drop it and add a full kit or lip it's gonna take some kinda damage no matter what. Whether it's a pot hole or road hazards. In your case, get some adjustable coilovers at least that way you can raise it up if your having a lot of accessibility issues. I understanding you though. My Sienna minivan is my only stock vehicle and it rides too high for me. It's even the SE version which sits lower on 19s. However, I can go anywhere with my family in it. And it still scrapes up driveways. Here is a pic of my daily 98GS4. It's about a 1.5-1.75 drop on springs and Bilstein shocks. I take this to the city all the time. I only scrap of I don't angle up steep driveways or crazy *** speed bumps.

I'm at one finger gap and never had a problem in SF.

Just enter steep driveways or inclines at an angle!

im thinking 12/10 or 14/12 bc with swift spring upgrades on my is250. It'll be my first coil set lol, I commute daily so I'm leaning more towards 12/10

Chiming in on 101/280, 280 seems fine all around, 280 going on to 101S on the other hand I try my best to avoid now. There's a dip right in the middle of the freeway so merging to the right is a no go for me now.
