Default 17" ls430 rims/tires on my ls460?

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to pick up an '07 460l next weekend and have a question about using my 17" snow tires mounted on ls430 rims. Will I be able to do this? I know my speed will be off, but I'm not sure if there will be other issues. Anyone else using this setup?

TIA

The lug pattern is different.

. Figured that would be the case. I'm a complete amateur here. Found some local 18s with snows (stock rims off an 07 BMW 750i). Any way for me to know whether the bolt pattern is the same without just trying them on the ls?

17" rims aren't an option on the LS's. They simply won't clear the front calipers.
The bolt pattern of the LS is 5x120. So the bolt pattern for the 7 series will work. You will need to find out what the center bore size is to make sure that it will fit on the LS at all or if you'll need hub rings to get them to fit. Even if the center bore is small, you can increase the bore if you really wanted though that's another expense. Offset will also matter but the 7 series doesn't run any crazy offsets stock, so you should be fine on that front.

you just need hub rings, to help keep it centered. I got mine on one of the internet buying sites. cheap. just figure out what bore size is the BMW and our Lex. 60.1 / 72.6

Awesome, thanks all!

If I'm understanding everything correctly, all I'll need to do is get some hub centric rings off of amazon that take me from the 72.6 to 60.1 and all should be good. I'll also need to get the TPMS sensors set up with the car, correct? If I don't do the sensors are there any negative effects other than the TP warning light?

Make sure I listed the correct hub sizes, just double check the wheels you're getting and the hub off our cars. You just got this information from a stranger. So who knows if I'm right or wrong....
I run my 20s with no sensors. Only warning lights no negative effects... I turn them off once in awhile, but as you very well know, they'll come back on after about 25 minutes drive.
