Default New GRILL!!!! Thoughts??

So its nothing custom, just thought it would update and freshen the look of the car. This it the OEM grill that comes on the sport model. I originally tried to pick up a used one but because sport models are so scarce to begin with, finding one of these grills from a wrecked sport model that isn't smashed was even harder. So, I sprung for a brand new one from a Lexus dealer across the country that does lots of online parts sales. Came brand new in the Toyota box. I figured I would eBay my old grill and recoup a few bucks. Here are some pics incase anyone was debating on the swap. It took all of 15 mins to do. What do you guys think?? My car is a 2011 LS460L.

yea, I saw a few that have done the 13+ bumper swap but there seems to be mixed reviews with the look of the huge grill on the 13+ cars. I'm not sure how I feel yet about the way lexus is making the front of all their cars look so similar with those huge black and chrome spindle grills.

the older one was nice but the bottom edge is a straight horizontal line.

and it could use some more poke like the hyundai equus.

looks so flat nosed.

It makes the L stand out more. What did the grill cost?

If the price is right, I would consider the sport grill on my car. It looks great, especially with your obsidian paint. It makes the chrome pop out.

The price was $350, Send PM if you want source I don't know forum rules about posting sellers. For my research I believe this is for 2010-2012 models only. I don't think they ever made a sport model before 2010. The of course they did a new model for 13+ so won't fit that either. Like I said I'm going to sell old grill to offset some cost.

I think it looks great! $350 isn't bad, it does a lot for the car IMHO.

For 13+ models, the grill can't be swapped between the F Sport and the regular without also replacing the whole front bumper. I do agree the front end of the F Sport looks better.

Feel free to post the seller, as long as you're not the seller its a-okay

Dang it, I won't ask how you know all of this info, but I can't even dream of getting the sport grill for an hour before ...poof, it disappears

I actually monitored eBay daily for one since I got the car in June. Only two came up both damaged, cracked missing tabs. I even got one thinking the crack wasn't going to be visible and had to return it, because the grill was in such bad shape compared to what was in the pictures.

Finally I was so frustrated I just went for a new one. Costs was a little expensive but cheap compared to a custom grills.
