Default E46CT's 2016 Silver Lining Metallic IS200t Build Thread

Mine won't be as fancy as some of yours. Emphasis on functional or subtle mods. I'll use the commonly used format below:

2016 IS200t F-Sport
Color: Silver Lining Metallic
Interior: Rioja Red

Options:
Blindspot Monitoring
Illuminated Side Sills
Rear Decklid Spoiler

Current Mods:
Full LEDs including turn signals (See thread for info and video here)
12" JL Audio single subwoofer in sealed box spliced into stock system--very easy. (See thread for info here)
Tein H-Tech Springs
Hard Wired Dash Cam (See #10 on my blog list
) I'll try to do a write-up here when I have time.
4GS Door Seals
Replica LED foglights with painted fog covers https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...port-only.html (Update: Installed OE Corolla LED Projectors for foglights)
Front replica lip https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-your-3is.html
F-Sport Air Filter and modded airbox https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...l-sort-of.html

Future Mods:
None planned

Maybe list:
Front sway bar of some sort
Genuine OE 19" RC350 wheels w/ summer tires (Michelin PSS)
Engine tune
Extended studs and 10/15mm spacers

Bonus: Check out these gopro Turbo sounds from the 200T =)

I like subtle stuff if you couldn't tell from my posts. Car looks great lowered. I need to get my springs installed at some point. Also the dash cam thing is something I have been thinking about that or wore in a radar detector. Not sure yet either way can't wait to see more of the stuff you do.

Thank you! Dash cam is a MUST! Had it in my BMW, my 2016 CT200h, and now my IS. Some guy tried to extort me once telling me if i dont pay him money that he will make a claim against me for the (pre-existing) damages to his car. I tapped his bumper by mistake crawling on the freeway (i apologized) but it was a very minor tap, no damage to my brand new CT200h. NONE whatsoever. He tried to claim his bumper got damaged due to my car. Little did he know I had a dash cam that recorded the whole thing showing clearly his car was damaged before i tapped it. Of course I let him talk and talk and then at the end is when I revealed I had a camera. Needless to say he never made a claim.

PS--added 4GS door seals. Almost forgot about those!

The door sills can you order those online or do you have to get them from a dealership?

You can order them from any online store that sales Lexus parts. I think Carson Lexus is a sponsor of this forum. Give them a ring (or email)

They look brother! You have them setup for headlight on only? If you put them on the DRL side will they still come on with the headlights?

Thanks brother! Headlight only! They don't seem to make a huge difference at night but i feel it completes the front look of the car. The car looks unfinished without fog lights.

I really am envious of the non F-Sport front bumper because it has provisions for stock toyota fog lights. For which there are beautiful cheap and VERY nice powerful LED bolt on options for. I'd consider getting a non F Sport front bumper just for the fog lights! I don't know why Lexus gave us those crappy holes on the front bumper. They're completely pointless. Good lights need SIZE.

This is the first I've heard of the RC 350 rear sway bar being applied to a 3IS. How did you discover that it would fit your IS? Would you happen to know if it will fit both RWD and AWD?

Nice. Looking forward to seeing how it works out. I need to do some research and see if it can be applied to my AWD.

I don't see why not. The suspension should be the same.
