IS350 0-60 time with RRracing tune

Thanks to you starting up this thread, I decided to leave the house and tried capturing a couple of 0-60 times using my Torque Pro App. Unfortunately due to lots of traffic on the road (while I was in Mexico), I only had one opportunity to a quick run when the streets were clear. Here's the screenshot of that single 0-60 attempt:
Please keep in mind that this run was done with high humidity, high temperatures, a full interior, a full tank of gas, and some wheelspin. Pre-tune, I actually had done better when the weather was cooler and recorded a 0-60 of 4.9 secs so I know there's much room for improvement with my times post-tune when I get more opportunities to do a few more tests (hopefully with cooler temperatures).
One other interesting thing to note is the HP recording on the bottom. If the 334.4 HP@ 7116 RPMs is accurate, I might be pushing close to 290rwhp (if the drivetrain estimated loss is 13%). At least this is good evidence that the tune works and the HP gains are permanent (unlike previous tuning attempts with piggyback systems).
I'll post an update on this thread whenever I get another opportunity for another run (for science).

I am not so sure a 0-60 is the most appropriate measure of improvements from the tune. I think a better comparison would be something like 40-80 or something like that where you get a decent stretch through the RPMs. I am still waiting for my ecu to return to have an "after" but here is a "before" screenshot. I have a nice flat 3/4 mile stretch of road, however no 0-60 as I cant seem to get much traction in first so I just roll out gently from a stop. My 40-60 is usually 2.2-2.3, 60-80 has usually been 2.9-3.3 and my couple runs to 100mph had the 80-100 at 4.7-4.8.

I played with it for maybe 20 minutes to get that how I like it. I tried to get as much as I could on one screen and that is what I ended up with. I wouldn't trust the HP/TQ readout from the app mine has a 20-30hp swing which seems like a bit much.

I am thinking the biggest gains in the 0-60 will be from saving a shift. My is350 needs 3rd gear before the speedometer clears 60mph. I just logged some 60-80 pulls starting at 55ish and they were much lower at 2.4-2.5 seconds.

Yeah, I was able to hit 60mph while in second gear and briefly bounced off the rev limiter somewhere around 65mph during my test run last night. As long as you can control wheelspin at the start, you should see an improvement with your 0-60 time using only 1st and 2nd gear.
I'll have more opportunities during the weekday to do a few more 0-60 runs as well as a couple of 40-60 pulls.

Hi Guys,
I have been inactive for a long time but still lurk around these forums quite frequently. I'm really glad to see they finally have a successful tune for this car. I will definitely be purchasing it after installing PPE headers and true duals. I'm glad there are still people who have not given up on the IS yet as a modding platform, especially for performance-oriented builds.

Well after placing the order for my tune RR contacting me letting me know that they have been having issues with the OBD unit. Apparently it was not writing correctly to the IS Ecu. They said they sent the unit out to the manufacturer and are hoping to have a solution in about a month. So no updates..

It's been difficult trying to get opportunities to do some test runs on empty stretches of road but I was finally able to do two additional pulls during lunchtime today.
Conditions were very similar to my original run about two weeks ago with having another full tank of gas, high temp and humidity, and some wheel spin. I pulled a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds for both runs and a 40-60 time of 1.8-1.9 seconds.
I'll try again in the near future while making a few minor adjustments to see if my 0-60 times improve such as having a 1/4 tank of gas, lowering tire pressures at the rear, and hopefully catching a break with some cooler temps.
