For those with melting door panels 2010+
I have a 2010 LS460L and recently noticed the arm rest part of my door panel getting sticky when my car sat outside of my job for the day. Fortunately I only drive her on Friday's and the weekend and have it parked in the garage so never really had an issue but had to drive it a few days this week bc my gs300 needed some work. I also noticed the edges of my center console are very visible as if it was caving in. I contacted Lexus corp and put in a claim. My case manager didn't make any promises but said she would do her best. She said the bulletin was only for 07-09 but with the car only having 33k miles I definitely shouldn't be having that issue.
Got a call last Friday from a specialist at the Lexus near me (lexus of tampa bay) requesting photos of my problem. I sent them over and was told they have to send it to corporate so my case manager Lisa and her boss can review.
Got a voicemail from Lisa today to give her call. Before I was able to she called me back with great news. Lexus is going to replace my door panel at no charge! No word on my center console yet but super excited about the door panel being replaced. The only thing is the door panel is on back order so they will contact me then they have it. So for anyone having this issue 2010+ its definitely worth contacting Lexus Corporate and putting in a claim. Within 2 weeks I had an answer and approval to replace.

From my recollection, this is only for 07 LS460's. If it's for 07-09 I need to make some calls. Today my arm rest felt sticky. It's always looked a bit disfigured, but I just keep cleaning it. Doesn't last. Maybe I need to call Lexus again.

Thanks! I actually got a call saying my panels were in and made an appointment to get them replaced on Monday morning. They are giving me a loaner for the day and throwing in a complimentary detail and fill up so super excited about that.

Definitely give corporate a call. I got an answer within 2 weeks and they are amazing to deal with.

Hi Robb, we bought out car within a week or so of each other. Mine is a 2011. Im also going to be making a claim. My issue is that it is very sticky but doesn't show much to the eye. If lexus requests photos I am hoping they don't deny the claim simply because they don't see much in the photos. I am going to be watching your thread for updates. Hope lexus takes care of you...

I have a 2011 that sits in the garage most of the time with 29K miles.
No problems but concerned will happen after the extended warranty has run out.
I did not think there was a problem with 2011 models.

Could this be caused by excessive heat buildup inside the car?

Picking it up today. They replaced the driver panel and waiting for the passenger panel to come in then will have to bring it back. I don't mind because they always fill my tank up and give me a nice loaner to play with. When it came to my passenger side they wanted to inspect it themselves when I brought it in for the driver side because the photos didn't show the discoloration. I got a call the next day saying they are going to replace the passenger as well. Definitely worth a shot. It was painless and they were awesome to deal with. I will post pics when I get it.

I called today and opened a new case. Fingers crossed. Apparently the dealer never sent pictures over the first time so I snapped some tonight. I have a 2008 certified with 60k. My drivers door has 3 tears and a chunk out of the corner. Passenger side has a tear as well.

Not to muddy your thread Robb, but wanted to update. I had a not so pleasant conversation with Lisa yesterday. Long story short, they are still only offering 50% replacement. When I asked why, she said they base it on service history, how many Lexus vehicles you have owned, year, miles, and various other factors to make a decision. When I asked specifically why, she just repeated her canned answer. Apparently the dealership never was sent pictures for my first claim when the original decision was made. I sent pictures the 2nd time and she could not even verify if all parties involved in making the decision viewed them. Then she told me the pictures do not even matter when they make a decision. What?!?!?!? So if you spent more money on your vehicle or have owned more than 2 other Lexus models, or have one model year older than me you get it 100% covered???
I purchased this vehicle "certified" in 2014 from a Lexus dealership with only 30,xxx miles, I financed with Lexus. I only have it serviced at Lexus. My last Lexus was only serviced at the dealership and I followed all recommended services. Sorry for the rant all, but I am extremely shocked, disappointed, and dissatisfied with Lexus customer service right now and how they are going about offering replacements.
If anyone has ideas of another route I can take to get this covered, please let me know. Here are the pics that apparently do not matter to Lexus:
