Default How Much ? - 2008 GS460

Hello folks. I am looking at a 1-owner, supposedly Clean CARFAX (have not pulled it yet) 2008 GS460 with 133,500 miles.

How much do you think is a fair price for me to pay for the car?

Also ... of course the seller is saying it is super clean (and based on the pictures it does in fact look clean but of course will have to look at it in person).

But based on assumptions that it is as seller says; what price would you offer to pay?

Depends what maintenance has been done. Timing belt / water pump would be the big on the list.

1.) Does '08 460 have a timing chain or belt?

Also; assuming everything has been done and everything is in good order ... what price is fair for me to pay you would say?

As long as the seller doesn't know how rare his car is...match it up with a 430 price.

Auction average is $10,400 so if you paid anywhere from $10,400-$13,000.00 I think youll be doing good.

08 460 has a timing chain, you can check the vin number on mylexus.com for the dealer service history. I would change the water pump if it hasnt been replaced.

Before I did anything I'd want to make sure the valve spring recall has been done - and I'm assuming this vehicle fell under that recall - and if it does, I'd also fell better if they had performed that recall a long time ago...not like 10,000 miles ago...I mean like when the recall first came out. And then there is the fuel o-ring recall - I'd feel much better if that has been done too, because that recall involves slightly major surgery as well (remove the intake, you'll be in a rental car for a day or two).

I don't really know what the GS460 goes for, but an 08 LS460 with that mileage would probably be anywhere between $13,000-$16,000.

Thanks for the input guys...was very helpful. Not sure if I paid about average, better than average or worse but I got it for $12,000 ! In 2015 I bought a 2006 GS430 with 132,000 miles on it for 12,300 .

Cool. :atsselfonback:: lol. Yes because of the talking points people shared in this thread such as asking if water pump had been changed, etc. ... the seller said no he hadn't changed it so I leveraged that to tell him I will have to change water pump and so he went down on price.

Will do my best when I get around to it but the color is the EXACT SAME as TRD_Power's GS in his banner is.
